What is Verruca Pedis?
Verrucas are caused by a viral infection called Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Verrucas can be caught by close skin to skin contact or indirect transmittal from contaminated surfaces, most commonly at a swimming pool. They can develop as a single verruca or as a cluster. It is recommended to see a podiatrist or GP if the verruca changes in appearance, spreads, bleeds or causes substantial pain or discomfort.
